My blog exists for one year now. Why start one? I was asked this a lot. I think everyone has a story to tell which can help another person. In my life, I made so many journeys before I found myself and knew what I wanted to do or know who I am. By writing my stories I have noticed it gives me a reflection on my life to where I am today. The journey was not always pleasant but is what it made me today and I like it. (more…)
We are almost at the end of this year and what a year it was. This year started so differently. I noticed in January that I did enjoy the food and holidays all a little too much…LOL, I had to set my spirit back onto my goals and I hit the gym and immediately stopped with the sugars (this is my guilty pleasure). This is the hardest thing but I did it again. (more…)
When I was little, a massage therapist was not the kind of profession I thought of doing. No, I wanted to work at an office and do administration work. I thought that it was the most awesome job you could ever have…LOL. So this dream came true and I did this for 18 years.
I grew up with all kinds of music. My father played all of his life in several bands as a bass player, but he could also play the regular guitar, harmonica, etc.. He never learned how to read the notes, just played by ear.
My father and mother both love(d) music and all different kinds of genre, so I grew up with the sounds of: Otis Redding, Percy Sledge, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Andy Tielman, Kenny Rogers, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, George Benson, Waylon Jennings, Tina Turner, Santana, Bob Marley, Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, etc.
I love vacations; you could say I live for holidays, they make me so HAPPY. To find out where the next trip will go to is so much fun already. You can find anything on the internet. There are so many ways to travel, and it does not have to be expensive. (more…)
It feels so safe to operate from your comfort zone. I know I did for many years and created my own, same colleagues, office etc. From time to time I did change jobs to trigger myself, but in the company (bank) I already worked at, so in the same surroundings and with the same people. This felt comfortable. Then the company went bankrupt and I immediately lost my job. Friday I had one and Monday I sat at home wondering what to do. Now I was forced to get out of my comfort zone (which was really comfy after 10 years HAHA), this was scary as hell, but I had no choice. I had to apply for another job, prove myself again etc. (more…)
Last year I started my journey with fasting. This has become a part of my healthy lifestyle. I picked some books and began to read and study about fasting. There are so many different kinds of fasts to follow. On the internet you find a lot of different knowledge, it made my head spin….so I did my own research. (more…)
